Dutch team HBC took on Belfast's Olympia 83
in a friendly at Avoniel. Olympia 83 put in a strong performance considering it was their first time playing Futsal and they were up against a good side who are unbeaten in their first 11 games this season in their home league.
HBC dominated the first half with some patient one touch possession taking advantage of Olympia's inconsistent marking before committing themselves to attack. HBC had a number of good chances in the first half with the Olympia keeper making several good saves before finally conceding late in the half. Olympia responded almost immediately with a well worked goal of their own just before half time.
Olympia 83 made a positive start too the second half and looked less hesitant going forward with the Dutch keeper having to pull off some good stops too keep the score level. HBC's quick counter attacks payed off again10 minutes into the half when they found themselves 2 1 up after Olympia 83 committed too many forward in attack. Olympia began too click after the goal and piled the pressure on the Dutch goal breaking quickly when they regained possession and scored twice in 5 minutes too take the lead 3 2. Olympia 83 continued too press their attack and with only 5 minutes left, and were caught out by two well played counter attacks and some nice finishing by HBC to win the game 4 3.
